Facilities, Equipment & Pricing
Members will have access to pottery wheels, hand building space, a large slab roller, a glazing area, and space for work and tools.
Monthly membership cost is $150.00 (plus sales tax) or $112.00 (plus sales tax) for a glazing/firing only membership (mini-membership). Joining month only will be pro-rated based on the start date.
Clay is purchased separately at a cost of $36.00 (plus tax) per 25# bag – glazing and firing costs are factored in to the price that we charge for clay – there is no additional cost for glazing or firing. Outside clay is not allowed, use of outside clay may result in firing issues and could potentially cause damage to our kilns. Our standard clay is a white stoneware from Clay Art Center in Tacoma (BC6).
If you would like a different type of clay that can be obtained from Clay Art Center, we can review the request and provide pricing that is inclusive of the costs associated with production for clay bodies that are compatible with our glazes and firing schedule. Light colored clays only (no orange, red, brown, etc).
The use of several dip and brush glazes will be included with the price of membership.
Members must obtain authorization to use outside glazes with Brian or Wendy. We will generally accept commercially prepared glazes designed for cone 5/6.
Work must be identified/marked by each member.
There will be multiple bisque and glaze firings weekly.

Our goal is to provide a fun, collaborative environment for the community. We anticipate having different workshops and events throughout the year. We are a working production pottery studio, so much of the time we will be available to assist with questions.
