Thanks to everyone who came out to the Custer show this last weekend in Spokane. Brian had a great time meeting so many great new people and seeing a few familiar faces. Our travel mugs continue to be a hot item and we also had a lot of interest and excitement over our newest product - noodle/rice bowls. These are super cute and have a spot to hold chopsticks which are included with the bowls. The noodle bowls are not currently on the website but will be added as soon we can get some pics taken. We have many upcoming shows which are listed on our "Find Us" tab. Please come out and see us!
We are happy to announce that we have recently joined Gallery Nine in Port Townsend, WA. Gallery Nine is an artist’s co-op with approximately 22 different artists working in several mediums displaying and selling their work. The gallery is located at 1012 Water Street, Port Townsend, Washington. Check them out on the web at: https://gallery-9.com/. We feel very honored to be in the company of so many extremely talented individuals. If you haven’t been to the gallery or to Port Townsend, it is definitely worth the time to make the trip. Port Townsend is a wonderful, artistic community filled with great shops and restaurants that is surrounded by abundant natural beauty.
We finished setting up our display on Saturday, just in time for the monthly gallery stroll that is held on the first Saturday of each month downtown from 5:30 – 8:00. We have a good selection of items available at this time and are working hard to re-stock from the holidays as well as working on the development of some new products.
Also, we would like to thank everyone who made our first year in business so successful. It is truly wonderful to have the opportunity meet so many great people. We are humbled that so many people have chosen to bring some of our work into their homes or give items that we have made as gifts. Please know that we are sincerely grateful for all of the love and support that continues to come our way.
We are getting ready for our first-ever holiday sale! Our sale will be offered only to our e-mail subscribers. If you would like to join our e-mail list, please enter your name and e-mail address in the "contact" section on our website. Don't worry! Our show last weekend was a lot of fun and a big success! Thanks to everyone who stopped by. We sold out of our new travel mugs and almost sold out of our chip & dip platters. We have just finished up a couple of kiln loads and will have more travel mugs and chip & dip platters for our next show. Our travel mugs are awesome, they are made to fit into cup holders and have a leak-proof silicone lid and sleeve. Because they are made of stoneware, they help to hold in the heat of the beverage.
Our chip & dip platters continue to be very popular - they can hold about 10 oz of tortilla chips (about 3/4 of a typical 14 oz bag of chips) and a generous serving of salsa or dip (or my favorite - salsa mixed with guacamole!). Either of these items would make a fantastic gift, and as with all of our products they are both dishwasher and microwave safe.
Come see us this Saturday from 9:00 to 5:00 at the Key Peninsula Civic Center in Vaughn - the address is 17010 S Vaughn Road, Vaughn, WA . The travel mugs will also be added to our website soon for purchase.
We are very excited for the next several weeks - we have shows lined up for the next seven weekends in a row. It's an absolute blast to get to be part of these arts and craft shows, even though they are a ton of work. We meet so many great people - both fellow craftsmen/women as well as attendees to these events. We hope to see some familiar faces. It's truly incredible and humbling to have people tell us that they are repeat purchasers and that they are collecting some of our pieces. Here is a listing of our upcoming shows through the end of the year:
We have just completed our first batch of soup crocks. These are wonderful for serving up a hearty portion of soup or chili - perfect for the cool weather! The dimensions are approximately 3 inches tall with a 6 inch diameter and each crock will hold appx 2.5 cups of liquid. The crocks can be pre-heated in the microwave or on a low temperature in the oven to keep the contents of the bowl warm (crock will also be warm, so use caution if warming). We have a limited number available now in each color except for our Columbia River collection as these take extra time to glaze. We will be adding additional pieces in each color, so please contact us if you would like a specific quantity in any of our colors. The price for each crock is $24.00.
We had a fantastic time at Salmon Days in Issaquah last weekend. This was by far our largest venue to date. It was amazing to be a part of such a huge event in an incredible setting. We enjoyed perfect autumn weather in an absolutely stunning location at the base of the Cascades surrounded by autumn colors. What a wonderful opportunity to meet so many great new people! Thanks to everyone who purchased some of our work and helped us to have such a successful show!
We are excited to have several events happening in the next month, here's a list of where we will be:
We had a great time this past weekend at the Harvest Festival in Prosser, Wa. It was going on at the same time as the Prosser Hot Air Balloon Rally and Caren Mercer-Andreason Street Painting festival. We were able to meet many new people and share our work with new customers.
In other news, we have just launched our Facebook page @fairviewlakestudios. Please feel free to support us by liking our page.
